Hello! We’re Dan and Rach – husband and wife duo, partners in crime, and owner-operators of The Refinery.

Back in 2015, while planning our own wedding, we struggled to find a venue in Brisbane that truly ticked all the boxes. After going through that experience, we knew we could do better – and that's how The Refinery came to life. We set out to raise the bar in the event industry and created the venue of our dreams.

What was once a panel beater’s workshop has been thoughtfully transformed into a stunning, versatile space. We are dedicated to delivering the best in everything we do – from delicious industry-leading food (have you been to our sister venue next door, Rogue Bistro?), to exceptional service, and our carefully curated collection of on-trend furniture and event inclusions.

Together with our talented, close-knit team, we hustle tirelessly to host your wedding like it’s our own. Dan leads the kitchen as Executive Chef for both of our venues, while Rach and Amelia – our Event Coordinator queens – guide you through every detail of the planning process and ensure everything runs smoothly on the big day. And, of course, Sione, our General Manager, glues us all together!
