The Refinery Wedding Showcase #6

On Sunday the 12th of March ,we hosted our annual Wedding Showcase and invited newly-engaged couples (and those already booked in!) to visit The Refinery and get inspired for their future nuptials. ‘Twas a rainy afternoon with QLD putting on a great storm show, but it was a great opportunity for guests to experience our wet weather plan in action as well…!

A huge thank you to Lover of Mine for capturing this gorgeous gallery.

This year we invited Amey from Rosenthal Creative to curate styling throughout the space to show off the varied talents of our creative vendors. On the first table, Amey’s custom hand-painted checkered linens worked perfectly with rattan wrapped cutlery from The Supper Club, giving off a gorgeous natural vibe. Black crockery and dimmed table lamps (courtesy of The Table Light Co.) elevated this look while the mauve, rust and bright red colour scheme kept things autumnal yet vibrant.

The second table set up was maximalist perfection! Situated under a an adorable balloon installation by Fancy Schmancy x Rosenthal Creative, the theme of exaggerated flowers flowed through this table’s entire aesthetic. Supper Club Co.’s clean and modern crockery and cutlery left room for super fun elements like funky floral arrangements by Mrs. Gibbons Flowers, plus napkin rings and a custom table-top by Rosenthal Creative. Our favourite detail was Maddison Jayne Design’s menus combined with tiny balloons for a super cute 3D flower effect!

Keeping it clean and classic, the final table of the day showed off The Refinery’s standard inclusions, taken to the next level with impactful florals by Mrs Gibbons (check out our full list of venue inclusions!).

But a wedding is about so much more than just a beautiful space! We sent around some of our newest canapés for our guests to try and opened up the bar. Those craving a sweet treat could taste a sample set of Petal + Peach’s incredible wedding cakes. Gin & tonic cake, anyone?

You also might have spotted the gorgeous Anita floating around on day the showing off the talents of a bunch of creative women. Anita wore multiple dresses from Bloom Australia’s designer collection including Harriette Gordon, The Law Bridal and an exclusive design of their own. Her glowy makeup was thanks to Janise aka Jdolls and her soft bridal up-do was the work of hair queen Paula Maree Hair.

And we can’t forget about those vendors who simply set the tone for your wedding day. In our outdoor area you could take the time to get to know some of the celebrants, photographers, videographers and party-people who bring that extra sparkle to the celebrations — including this stellar champez tower from Champagne Walls Gold Coast!

Meanwhile our fave DJ Cut A Rug (Aaron) kept the vibe going throughout the arvo while we all got in the mood for marrying. Can you tell? We absolutely can’t wait for the next year of Refinery weddings!
